PKRD 240 a PKRD 260 Double shaft rip saw

The machine is intended for lengthwise cutting of prisms - ripping into precise sawn timber with a high quality of the cut surface. The machine is designed for use in the most demanding operations - high operational speed in connection with high thickness of the ripped material.

The machine is equipped with two fixed ripping sleeves (an upper one and a lower one) for fixing of saw discs. A saw blade suspension with maximum span between the peripheral saws amounting to 660 mm is constructed by means of intra-saw inserts. The height of saw shafts is adjustable which makes it possible to choose optimum sawing conditions for each of the shafts. Height adjustment is carried out by means of an electronic motor and a gearbox.

The sturdy frame of the machine is welded from high quality steel sheets and profiles. The system of feeding of the material consists of three toothed lower cylinders against which there are two upper thrusting cylinders. On the output side, the machine is equipped with a lower chain with transverse drive dogs against which there are two upper thrusting cylinders. The upper cylinders are controlled hydraulically. Saw shafts are propelled by means of special V-belts which are equipped with a safety cover. The machine is equipped with two lines of upper backward projection retainers. The movable parts of the machine are covered and if the covers are open, the machine cannot be turned on. The large hole in the lower section of the machine provides for efficient waste removal.

The delivery includes a well organised control board and an electric switchboard.
The machine has been approved by the governmental testing institution and it complies with all relevant EU regulations.
